  I am giving this place 2 stars just so people might read through it. Overall I had a great experience with this place. All the staff were very friendly & helpful from start to finish, I will go back next time my dog needs care. But. The doctor that examined my dog was terrible. Dr. Phil Good. My dog can be nervous, he was not treated well by previous owners when he was a puppy, & I am well aware. During our visit my dog was totally calm. The tech that got my initial information in the room was great, she took him back for his weight & tests & he was fine, he let her pet him with no problem, all good. The doctor comes in, puts my dog on a table & starts to raise it & my dog gets very nervous & wants to get off. Dr. Phil decides to get on the floor to examine him, & has me drag my dog over to him. At this point my dog is very nervous & wants to get away, a different tech girl is trying to hold my wriggling dog & it is freaking him out more. The doctor inspects him & tries to look at his teeth & my dog snips just a little. Doctor gets a muzzle, tells me in the future he probably needs to be sedated. The doctor puts in his report that I need to work with my dog with a trainer.
  Now. I am aware of my dog’s situation. I made it known to the office that he is a nervous dog. I know the vet was trying to do his job. But I have worked extensively with a trainer for my dog, he has been to several veterinary appointments with NO problems or suggestions of sedation, or comments that I need to train him. The doctor freaked my dog out from the start & did nothing to fix the situation, instead made it worse.
  I will be seeing a different doctor when I go back. I strongly recommend that if you have a dog with any kind of anxiety or nervousness, see a different doctor than this guy. The rest of the staff is wonderful, but Dr. Phil will start bad & end worse for your nervous dog.
